There’s A Storm Appon Us

There’s a heavy weight over our country and it is pretty clear we are in the mist of a big storm. No matter what side you are on, or not on. It is undeniable. The wind is howling,  the thunder is rolling and the lightning is crackling! Not just physically,  we can all see the challenges and chaos. Not just politics but also physically, mentally and emotionally. We are indeed involved a major spiritual battle. There is no questionable doubt of that. Prayer warriors  we are being  called to the battlefield to pray like never before for not just our country but also the world. To pray for all. Saved and not saved.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” ~1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Amen! Why rejoice? Because God is love , He is in Control, and with Him there is victory! “For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” ~Deuteronomy 20:4 Again doing this is not an easy task. Especially when everything isn’t normal. But what is normal, and why should things be normal? True growth comes from stepping out of your comfort zone and thinking outside of the box. At least from my experience I see this statement as truth. Heck my life has never been normal tho…

Each battle is  unique  just like the one that we are currently  facing. We have to  put on our spiritual armor and face our spiritual  Goliath!

(Ephesians 6: 11-18)

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” ~2 Chronicles 7:14

Thanksgiving and Prayer -Ephesians 1:15-23: “For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people,  I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.  I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.  I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,  and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength  he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,  far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.  And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,  which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”

I was raised that our words and our actions matter… That we have to be productive, and responsible. We have to be people of our word, loyal, honest, and examples of Jesus’s love. Why? Because it is right – Because it makes a difference and Because it is what would Horner God. He sent Jesus His so for us to be blessed out of love.

We are to treat others how we wish to be treated. You say you may not care… But I thinks you do… No-one likes being neglected and treated poorly. “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” ~Ephesians 6:18

I encourage you to seek reasons to smile. Even if the reasons are small. Remind those you care about how much they matter to you as well. Try not to stay angry or hurt others on purpose. Treat others how you wish to be treated. Every day you wake up is gift. It may not be easy but we have to move forward.

We do that one step at a time. We may not be happy and hardships are sure to come. But you can move forward if you choose to. It is harder to let life pass you by and have regrets Don’t live a life of regret and anger. We have to encourage eachother and set good examples of Christ Jesus’s love.

Be sure sisters and brothers in Christ we are being watched and judged. We are humans but we are called to spread the gospel and we can only do so by developing a personal reallationship, truly knowing Jesus as our friend and reading God’s word the Bible.

Thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment if your time to share my thoughts and feelings with you. I am truly grateful for you!

How and Where, Do You Pray?

How and Where, Do You Pray?

I ask you this honestly? Do you do it with clasped hands, entwined fingers, or folded arms?  Do you pray on your knees, against a bed or a chair; standing; or on your face on the floor? Do you pray while crying, when walking, while driving, or when doing a chore maybe?  Do you always know what to say? Or do you have a hard time finding the right words…  I know for me all the above counts… I pray constantly and in all situation and places. I even pray when shopping, during a movie, or out to dinner with friends.

Prayer is such an important part of our relationship to God. It can sometimes be very difficult. But at times it can be very easy too…  I find it most hard when I feel I should pray, as if I were forced to. But that is so rare for me…. Because I pray a lot, sometimes very passionately and personally, and other times quick thank you and I love you, to my Father who has made all and taken care of all.

To me prayer to Father God, Jesus is like talking to a best friend, to someone who loves me with un-ending love. To someone who accepts me as who I am and still wants the best for me.  Humans, people I love here my friends and family are important to me but I know they do not like all of me or wish they could change me somehow.. But God takes me as I am and with that knowledge I want to be better for him. There are people in my life who aspire me the same way. But I am far from perfect and I feel so bad when I mess up. I want to hide, lock myself away so no one can see me. Especially if it is something I think was very important that I think I failed at.  But there He is, my God with open arms ready for me to go to him for comfort and strength, and most important forgiveness.   And when I am not down I go to him for wisdom, authority against evil, and joyful thanksgiving in my heart.

How about you? How do you Pray, and where? Take a few minutes to think that over then continue to read.

If you do now know where to start, if praying to God, Jesus is not something you find easy then this is all you need to know. He gave us a prayer to pray that covers it all. Which is below.  And as for the where that does not matter. The only thing that does matter is that you have a relationship with our Faher God his son Jesus.

The Prayer is called:

“The Lord’s Prayer”

Matthew 6:9-13: New King James Version

9In this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father who art in Heaven,

hallowed be Thy name.

10Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth,

as it is in Heaven.

11Give us this day our daily bread.

12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

God bless you today and always!
