How many of you feel like that? I know I have. For over a week now, and have less barley half my shopping done. I was so stressed about what to get who. So much so I couldn’t think properly and I was getting sick from lack of sleep. On top of that, I knew I should write something. But I didn’t know what until now.
Today I was reminded it is not how much do we do, how much we spend, or how much time we put in to the season and gifts. It is why we do it that matters. It is for the end result that we go thought all the effort of the tasks we do.
The season in the U.S.A. normally starts the day after Thanksgiving. What a wonderful holiday that was.. Most of us cooked, threw a party, attended a party, or went out to dinner. All in order to give thanks (to the Lord) and remembered all the things we are Thankful for. That was nice, was it not. And most of us had started our giving with food. What a great start into such a wonderful season, yes?
It was a nice October and November! The weather has been cool or cold, the air and leaves changed. And then Thanksgiving was over and………………………………………………….
The sales stared! And off we went! As did the stress! We get so caught up in the “Perfect Gifts” wanting to buy just the right thing to my everyone happy, even when it costs more then we can afford. I know not EVERYONE is like this but this season just about every one I know is going though this stress. To top it all off your normal life is still going on. So while your looking for the perfect gift your having to go to work, and run the standard errands, plus the special “pre-cleaning” – “Out with the old to make room for the new” is happening. And that builds the pressure until it gets to be too much. So when Christmas comes: your like a dried up, burnt piece of toast. Your burnt up in energy, trying to make it the perfect day, while pieces of you fall off, and your to dry to absorb anything that’s is going on around you. How many of these Christmas’s have you experienced? Or any holidays for that matter.
Don’t let your self forget why we go thought all the perorations and planning for this special day. We do it because we LOVE those around us. Because we care enough to show others we appreciate them, even if we do not like them at all times. This is the time of year that is all about Giving, and we give because – God gave to us! He gave us His ONLY begotten son. (Begotten – Unique – one of a kind.) (The most precious gift any of us could ever hope for!!!) So that who ever believes in him shall have everlasting life. – John 3:16
Not only that, but are our sins forgiven! Jesus died on the Cross for us. We are washed clean by his spilled blood.. Consecutively: so that we may come in to our everlasting life. To me that is almost too good to be true. But I believe, the Bible proves it to be true.
*Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
*Psalm-85:2
Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin.
We are so blessed that we do not have to go thought gory sacrifices of animals and or our crops like they did before Jesus came. And that we do not have to go thought others to be forgiven.
*Psalm-32:1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
*Leviticus-4:35
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be forgiven him.
All we have to do is receive Jesus, the ultimate Christmas gift. It is better then that TV. , DVD, iPod, Laptop, Car, ect……. And once we remember the reason for the season. While your doing your last minuet shopping and you’re decorating, take a some time each morning to talk to God and have some praise and worship time, read your Bible. The stress will let up and we can find joy and peace in the giving and the receiving even more then last year. Because it is about the Price Jesus paid for us. It is about the blessed Birth that is and was to save our lives from eternal damnation.
With that thought you should also reach out and save some one’s life with a kind word and the message of God’s Love. And I know their Christmas will be a wonderful one too. Don’t force it on anyone, just plant the seed. Those who plant are not always those who water and grow the harvest. Remember to pray for the person though. That’s the best we can do for anyone and it is priceless c ompared to worldly goods.
Once I remembered why I was “spending all my money” on “the perfect gifts” The shopping task became fun and exciting and less like a chore. And once I relaxed, I realized what would be best to get everyone.
*Hebrews-12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
*Mark-2:5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee
*Mark-6:6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
*2-Corinthians-13:4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
Happy Thanksgiving Every One!
What is it and why is it so important?
Thanksgiving thought it is celebrated in finding America and the Indians, they would not have set off on the trip had they not wanted to find a place where they could worship God and pray freely. Here is a good article to read about it. Our country is and was founded on the belief God is the Creator and our Father. Most our Presidents have realized this too.
The National Thanksgiving Proclamations
National Thanksgiving Proclamations proclaim thanks for God’s providence in the events of the nation and, as President Washington explained in his Thanksgiving Proclamation, “for the many signal favors of Almighty God” in the lives of the people.
As Congress recognized the importance of Thanksgiving observance, President George Washington issued a national Thanksgiving Proclamation in 1789. He wrote, “Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be—That we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks—for His kind care and protection of the People of this Country…for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of His Providence which we experienced in the tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed…and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions—to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually…To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us—and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best.”
In 1789 Washington designated a national thanksgiving holiday for the newly ratified Constitution, specifically so that the people may thank God for “affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness” and for having “been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted, for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed… “
The first official Thanksgiving Proclamation made in America was issued by Henry Laurens as President of the Continental Congress of the United States on December 18, 1777. However, the precursor to the Thanksgiving Proclamation was issued by John Hancock as President of the Continental Congress of the United Colonies and was entitled “Fast Day Proclamation” on March 16, 1776. Six national Proclamations of Thanksgiving were issued in the first thirty years after the founding of the United States of America as an independent federation of States. President George Washington issued two, President John Adams issued two, President Thomas Jefferson made none and President James Madison issued two. After 1815 there were no more Thanksgiving Proclamations.
If it weren’t for Sarah Josepha Hale, the editor of Godey’s Lady’s Book, the popular women’s journal of the 19th century, Thanksgiving Day would not have existed beyond that.
She wrote editorials and lobbied “that the LAST THURSDAY IN NOVEMBER shall be the DAY OF NATIONAL THANKSGIVING for the American people.”
President Lincoln succumbed to her pressure and proclaimed the last Thursday in November a “prayerful day of Thanksgiving.”
Since then every U.S. President has always made an official Thanksgiving Proclamation on behalf of the nation.
“I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverance and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union.” The Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln edited by Roy P. Basler, Volume VI, “Proclamation of Thanksgiving” (October 3, 1863), p. 497.
From Lincoln’s time, fixing the date for Thanksgiving was by Presidential proclamation. In the first year of the Franklin D. Roosevelt presidency, 1933, during the Great Depression, the last Thursday of November fell very close to the end of the month. At that time, there were calls from many business owners for the President to move Thanksgiving one week earlier, in order to allow for a greater number of shopping days between Thanksgiving and Christmas, which they argued, might possibly offset the difficult economic times. Roosevelt did not change the date at the time. However, when the last Thursday in November again fell very late in the month in 1939, he did institute a change, by proclaiming Thanksgiving to be the 4th Thursday in November. The decision sparked wide-spread public discussion, with some Americans following the old “last Thursday in November” scheduling pattern. However, Congress agreed with the President, and by Congressional action in 1941, Thanksgiving is now always celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November.

Jeremiah 31: 3 I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love.
With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.
Hebrews 13:5 (b) “I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.”
http://explorefaith.org/world.html My mother taught me the same thing but they explains it just as well..
And some never open their hearts at all to God, unable to grasp his wonderful peace and overflowing Love because they choose not to believe in Jesus.
Romans 10: 9-13 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
John 14: 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Once we accept Jesus, the word of God, and all that is of God is so much easier to understand. It is like we are blinded till we take that test of faith. Unless you have opened your heart and done so you will have trouble understanding what I am saying. There is not other way to heaven, Jesus is the only way. It is hard to say because I don’t want anyone to go to Hell but there is nothing I can say to change that. God gave us free will and provided the way for us to get to heaven and be forgiven of ALL sin.
Replace the word “world” with your name, John 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.because you are his child and then re-read it again. For God so loved YOU! Hits you doesn’t it. I know it hits me hard. We all face trials. I faced one of my won today.
I had a very intense day. God is a good God and I am very blessed. I am on a blood thiner, due to my heart condition, I have been on it since I was seventeen years old. Well sometimes my blood is to thin and sometimes to thick. Today it was too thin and it gave me a scare, I was coughing up blood when I woke up. So I went to the ER and they did not find anything that would have caused it, Thank God! They assume it was a bloody nose. Sometimes I forget how good God is in times of fear. Today was a good reminder he is a good Father and he takes care of his children..
John 17:1-4 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
It is now up to you to make that decision. Will you, have you accepted Jesus into your heart? If you have done so, and accepted Christ into your heart. It is now your job to spread God’s love and Jesus with others. NOW is the time the world, to know! God’s children need to hear they are loved. Sure we will be judged for doing so. But I care more about what God thinks of me in the end then what others do. And I want to save as many people form hell as I can.
If you have a friend that is not a believer and no matter what you say effects them, just pray for them to have God open their heart and know you at least planted the seed. It is now between them and God. Just be a good example and be there if they have a question. Do not debate God, just state facts and leave them. Debating solves nothing. It is only used to show two sides of an opinion. Arguing never solves anything Love always wins.
Read the book of John in the Bible and Romans I highly suggest it. http://www.bible.com Is where you can read it online if you do not have or know where your Bible is.
Romans 1: 16 For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes
Amen!! (So Be it!)
God Bless you Today and Always,

Now some light hearted fun! It is good to remember to enjoy life with all the trifles we go though. Lets Hamster dance! ;p http://www.webhamster.com/
I have been reading Genesis 1-49 the past months.. Very good, some parts can be a bit hard to get though.
It starts out talking about how the EVERYTHING was created, how we all became full of sin, because Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. And that they were kicked out of Eden because of apple, where there is now tall angels guarding the entrance to Eden holding swords. WOW… So much happened in such a short time.
Then it goes on to talk about their first sons’ children Cain and Able. About the first murder of how Cain killed Able over jealousy, and how Abel’s blood called out to God. Could you imagine hearing someone’s blood crying? Cain then fled in fear from God banished never to come back, and eventually killed himself.
Then it continues about how the people on earth had become corrupt and evil, so God instructed Noah, the only believer there, to build an Arc and take his three sons, their wives, his wife, and two of every animal, male and female. Therefore they could repopulate the earth. Then for forty days and forty nights it rained. When it was done raining, Noah and the others waited for all the water to dry up, and sent out a dove, it came back with nothing. Then he sent it out again and it came back with a branch, and the third time he sent the dove out it did not return, so Noah knew they could all finally leave the boat. And as a promise that God will never flood the earth again he put a Rainbow in the sky as proof to his commitment. Wouldn’t you like a commitment like that? Well it is for you too!! He promised no more floods like that ever again.
After a great deal of time, the bible talked about the generations up till Abra who God renamed Abraham, meaning Man of many Children or Nations, and gave his barren wife a child in her late age of one hundred, and they named him Isaac.
And lastly, then God asked Abraham to Sacrifice Isaac. Abraham, the good man he was, did as God told him to and escorted Isaac up the mountain, prepared the alter, and was about to sacrifice his son when God stopped him and gave him a ram to sacrifice instead. God was very pleased and blessed Abraham and his family..
Wow a lot happened in just those forty nine chapters in the beginning of the Bible. What do you make of all this?
1. We are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God.
2. We are all tested and go through trials.
3. We are all blessed of God!
4. We are all forgiven of our sins!
5. God keeps his commitments to us. No matter how absurd or impossible they seem
6. No matter where we go or what we do God is always here watching us.
7. And No matter what, we are Loved!
Bible Verses:
Colossians 4:6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Psalm 103:8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love
Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is rewarded of them that diligently seek him.”
Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not see.
Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love.
With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.

God Bless You All!!
Have you ever had a day where you were searching for something and you were sure you knew where it was, but then you went there and what you were looking for was not found? So you keep searching…? I can’t tell you how many times I have been in that situation.. Isn’t it frustrating? However, once you forget about the thing you’re searching for, you find it nine times out of ten.
This not only applies to martial things but also to physical, emotional, and spiritual things as well. Here are some things I have searched for: a husband to feel needed and wanted; A purpose in life, to feel important, and to know where I am going; My keys, I am always misplacing them; and for a fiery passion towards God, my spiritual needs.
As a teen I went through a very rough break up, a lot of health situations (Heart surgeries, comas, strokes ect.) I became furious at God and I doubted his care for me. I started looking elsewhere into other things. But what I found was more pain, more anger, and everything I didn’t want. The same goes for looking for my purpose and other things, I felt less important, and less needed then I ever wanted to feel. I was doing everything except trusting in God to take care of me and my needs, emotionally, physically, financially, and mentally…
Thankfully before my third surgery I was shown how I had changed for the worst and I hated the new me. I was cruel, controlling, angry, and not the Amy I was. I had become someone else someone I despised. I went back to church not knowing what to do and I joined in the before service praise and worship prayer meeting. And during the worship I heard the song “Draw me Close To You” and I did. I asked for his forgiveness and I found peace. Such an intense peace I could not have comprehended it to request it. It changed my life.
So while I was looking for an escape I found things I didn’t want and when I finally gave up and let God. And I found something much better. I have lost many things sometimes it takes me days to find. I get panicky and frantic but then I remember I need to pray and soon after I find what I was looking for.
Don’t get caught up in the bad, even though at times it can be very overwhelming. Because with God anything is possible and he will open doors for you and give you the things or something much better. But He cannot until you give your problems up to him. Until you trust in him to take care of you, he can’t do anything. So set your pride aside and pull out your humility. Then you will see doors opening where you have never seen them before, your path will be clearer, and your heart will be lifted. It is not as easy as it sounds, it is a consistent battle, but well worth it. I can’t express how my life has changed. You just need to trust that God can do the same for you. As people say “Let go and Let God”.
That’s all for now,
God Bless you, Merry Christmas, Happy New year, and Thank you for reading.
