Dear Friends, Strangers, Loved ones,
This is my letter of encouragement to you. Waiting on the Lord is a good thing to do. Especially when it comes to things like meeting your Spruces, or for an answer to a prayer. However that does not mean sit around doing nothing. I have in the past driven myself into depressions. Because I felt like my life was on hold. I prayed, I read my Bible, I lived day by day. But things did not seem to change. That is until I got off my rear and started putting myself out there. I don’t know what I was waiting on back then, some life altering change. Silly me, my heart has done that many times for me. I was trying to live up to the world’s view of a successful person.
I do not have a job, I am not married, I have no children, I still live at home. But does that define me? NO! God does. He has opened the door for me on many occasions to minister to others, to pray for others, to help those in need. However that does not define me either. I do not sit on my but doing nothing either. What defines me is who I choose to be. How I choose to act. If I choose to wait on God, good. But on some things you need to step out and take a chance.
I started walking daily to get fresh air and to make a change in my
daily schedule.I know it was a small one, but it was a big deal to me back then. I lived a lone and in a strange city. If all I did was stay in-doors all day, every day, I would go mad. I choose not to.
Now, years latter, I run the home for my family, clean daily, cook when needed, run errands when needed, I watch my nephew, and take care of the pets. I do those things because I choose to, because I love my family. I want to be a blessing I want to set an example of God, I want to be a good child.
I have told you many times stand up for God, spread God’s Love. Be a living example. People watch you. What you do matters. Watch your attitude, watch how you treat others.
Do you like what you see. Do you think God, Jesus will be proud of you. I know it is impossible to be perfect, I am not asking you to be. God will love you either way. My mother used to say to me. “Think about when Jesus comes back. How do you want him to find you.?” Sometimes I even forget that. That saying “W.W.J.D. = What would Jesus Do” is a great reminder to have posted some where in your home, or room.
Please do not be depressed, don’t be hard on yourself, don’t sit around doing nothing. Stand up and do something that will benefit you and be an example of God’s awesomeness. Start a bible study / prayer Group, join a church, do something in your community, volunteer some where. When you do something for others not only will you find joy, you will be doing something important and making a difference too. If you want a friend, some one to pray with, please feel free to e-mail us. deeplyrootedinhim@yahoo.com we are here for you.
Hosea 8:7:
For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
Hosea 10:12:
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Colossians 1:10
And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God
God bless you! Your in my prayers!
