Depth of Devotion

I was talking with a good friend about current and previous: Christian music, Christian Bands, the musicians; and what some of them have done. Then she mentioned buying a book at #tobymac concert recently by #DCTalk. If you don’t know who that is. He’s a member of DCTalk and a solo singer.

My friend told me that her book is a 2end new Edition with a blue cover and asked what mine looked like. Whrn I told her about my first Eddition below.

I bought this book many years ago it is well-used and made to look worn-out…There is also a now second volume to the series that has a black cover and a magazine that you can subscribe to. I warn you this book is not for the faint-hearted. However the stries inside really opens one’s eyes showing how our faith is tested in the most extreme ways. How cruel people can be…. It is not a read for everyone. It is intense and if you have a very good imagination this book is graphic….. It would be rated R or higher if it was a movie. I am so grateful for my life.

The depth of devotion can not truly be measured in my opinion. You don’t have to be a martyr, but your actions and your words matter. If you want it or not you are an example. People you may never see may be watching you. I don’t mean that creepily. Yet it is true. You will probably never know how you and your life truly affects others. Truth is you do matter even if you don’t feel it or think you do.

I want you to ask yourself how do you want to affect people? I am not sorry to burst your bubble. Honestly, there was never a bubble but we all live in fish bowls…. Like it or not if you try to keep to yourself or not – your life does affect other. You affect strangers, friends, family, and so forth. Wake up!!!  I not talking politics … orceven faith. I can not stress enough what you do matters, what you say matters, and who you interact with leaves impacts otheres in person, on the phone, through text, letters, in virtual reality and online games. You leave a mark everywhere you go.

You msybnot know this but it is impossible to be perfect. We can however try to do our best. That’s why forgiveness is important. I will leave that for another day another post. Yes, I am being blunt. I think someone has to be. I don’t judge that is not my job. My job is to point you in the right direction and help you find Jesus’s mighty love if you want.

Personally, I am a huge fan of DCTALK and have been since I was a teenager. I have never fit into the so-labeled box the general public used to have. I made my own faith clothes had hairstyles deemed silly back then and was always on fire for the Lord. I was even called a freak by classmates etc. I never fit in because of my heart condition so I figured why bother trying…. When the song Jesus Freak came out by DCTalk, I embraced it!

If you’re interested in DCTalk here’s the website too:

www.dctalk.com

It makes me thankful for the country that I live in. Grateful for a mighty savior who loves us as we are – faults and all. It is no joke – Jesus Christ lived and sacrificed His life so we could have eternal life and a personal relationship with Him, God, and the Holy Spirit. Read The Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Timothy 1&2, and 1 John. In the New Testament in a physical Holy Bible, on your phone or online. I really like BibleGateway.com but there are other ones out there. My personal preference is the King James Version. It is the only version that says 2 Timothy 1:7 I do not have a spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind.

I strongly hold on to that ‘sound mind’. Without it, we can not have self-discipline among other things as other translations say. I also suggest you read Daniel Chapter 3 and Colossians 3. The Books: Ephesians, Psalms, Proverbs, and Isaiah in the Old Testament of The Holy Bible. I would love to post them all like I usually do however I want to encourage you to look them up yourself. Curiosity only killed the cat because the cat learned too much :p Seriously tho; it builds your personal walk and relationship with Christ to look and read the Bible for yourself and I do not mean the AI-written Bible or Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I mean the word our Lord, and Father God gave us. That we may embrace what Jesus did and why He came for us and how to utilize the Holy Spirit.

We all Have a purpose and I know like has been crazy but it could always be worse……. My life and the Bible is full of examples of how much worse it could be……… I am sure you have had your own fair share of examples of how hard Life can be. That is why I am a Jesus Freak. Jesus is my Best Friend. The Lord is my Father. The Holy Spirit is my sword… I am a Warrior in Christ Jesus. I don’t say that lightly. I love hard and pray hard. I am who I am because of God. I am truly blessed and I am grateful to be alive. There’s much I want to do in life, but most of all I want to help others find the Love that only God / Jesus/ Holy Spirit can give.

Please take the time to thank God for your life and all He has blessed you with. If you don’t already then start thanking God for the future He wants for you. He wants you to have Life and to Have it Abundantly -John 10:10- Not to Just settle for what you have.

What is it you devote your time, though, and life too? What is the depth of your devotion and why? You do not have to answer but I would like you to think about it. Your life and your walk is between you and God.

I strive to be Deeply Rooted in Him – God, it is not always easy but life is much better in my opinion with God / Jesus / The Holy Spirit.

😊 Thank you for your time and support.

Have a great day and stay safe Strong and kind.

!WAIT ON IT!

!WAIT ON IT! magnify

!Wait!

Wait…Wait…Wait…Wait..Wait…Wait…BUT…WAIT!!!…Wait…Wait…wait…Wait…wait…But!…
…………………………………………..WAIT!!!..
……….WAIT………wait………………………………….

OK, NOW!

Do you ever feel like that? You’re waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Because God said Wait! And you feel like the answer, or what you’re praying for may never come. I understand. I have been struggling with a few things and I have been praying about them. Well a few days ago about one main thing I was concerned about. God very clearly told me to. That’s right. WAIT! Oh man has that been hard. But I gave it all to God and I said ok. “Ok God! I know your timing is perfect. Give me the strength I need to wait, and I will.” As soon as I said that it seemed a lot of temptations started to appear. I was surrounded. But I Know, that I know! God’s plan is best plan.

Sometimes we have to wait hours, days, weeks, months, and even years for an answer to a prayer. And it gets very hard, and it can cause anger, stress, and emotional problems. But sometimes it takes time to line up every thing. For Example: We will move out of state one day. Which is my Mothers heart felt prayer. God said Yes. But we are still here four years latter. And she asks why! “Why God, are we still here.” God only knows. Maybe the home she will have is not ready for her. Or the job she will work is not open. Maybe there are other things too that need to fall in to place.

But not all prayers require such a long waiting period. But some do take a wait. And I have leaned for my own “Wait” prayers that they are worth waiting for. Some examples: I had my teddy bear taken from me when I was in the hospital at age twelve. I was mad but I prayed about it I forgave and Trusted God about it. Several years latter I went in to the hospital again. It was over Christmas, and guess what I got. Not just one teddy bear but twenty Teddy bears. They were gifts and donations. What a blessing. I kept some and donated the rest. But God keeps his word. I prayed for a Vehicle and with in a matter of three weeks God blessed me with finding the perfect Vehicle for me and I was able to afford it. I could list many more prayers. But they don’t matter. The point is God keeps his word and answers our needs out hears desire. As long as they will bless and help us bless others and it is in his plan. We want to be in his plan, because then our life is sure to be blessed and a blessing to others.

When you don’t wait on the Lord some times you can mess up the plan God has for you and it takes longer for the answer to come through. I am standing in faith that God has a Man for me. But when I was younger I decided to help God in my search. And I dated a young man for about nine years. I had every intention to marry him. God said No all along but I refused to listen because where else would I find a man who loved me for me. What I didn’t realize he did love me but more so because he didn’t want to be alone. He had no real intention of ever marrying me. And finally I realized I was living what I wanted, and I was holding both of us back from what God has for us. Sure it wasn’t a complete waste; God brought some good from it. But what did I miss out on, while making my own path? I know I fell away from God a bit in my studies. (He was not a Godly man.) I believed I was not worth anyone but his love, I let my self go. “I am good enough with just getting by.” That was my way of thinking. Which I know now is wrong. You need to be all you can and then some. I want to be so much I want to bless you and the ones I know. I want to be a woman of God, some one he, my heavenly (and earthly) father can be proud of. I want to spread God’s love to every one and I want NO ONE to go to hell. But that is your choice to want. I can only give you what I know and pray for you.

So… Please, WAIT on the Lord and keep your faith in Him. He has not forgotten you, he knows your heart. He is your father too! Thank God for the objective you’re praying about and stand firm. Don’t waver.

God Bless you!!
